Perth Symphony Orchestra a success at Leeuwin

The Perth Symphony Orchestra performed with Marina Prior and David Hobson at the 2012 Leeuwin Concert over the weekend of the 11th/12th February, and received outstanding feedback..The concert returned to its classical origins for the 2012 Concert with soprano Marina Prior, tenor David Hobson and the Perth Symphony Orchestra and performed an enchanting repertoire from popular operatic classics including La Traviata and Tosca through to the greatest songs from musical theatre including West Side Story, The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables.

It was a huge honour for the orchestra to play such a prestigious concert, and reflects the first ever Leeuwin concert, when the London Philharmonic Orchestra played.

David Hobson and Marina Prior had not previous sung in concert together for a full performance, and their banter, along with their singing talent, carried the night along at a cracking pace that left members of the audience hugely fulfilled. Read more HERE.
