No fewer than four ensembles boasting 45 young jazz musicians from Christ Church Grammar School will take to the stage at The Ellington on the Club’s first ever School Jazz Showcase presented by North Street Music.
The evening, enabling young jazz talent to experience performing at a world-class professional jazz venue, will see the schools Jazz Combo, Jazz II, Jazz I and Saxophone Ensemble perform a range of the jazz repertoire that promises to be an evening of great playing and fun music from some of the youngest jazz players in the State.
North Street Music has been engaged to present the performance, designed to appeal to not just the parents, friends and families of the young ensembles, but a wider audience who rarely get the chance to hear the magic of a big band with rhythm section performing live in Perth.
Doors Open 6.30pm for a 7pm start (note early start time).
