Chamber Jam – Mon 31 March

Chamber Jam @ The Ellington is a night of chamber music in Perth like no other.  Join some of Australia’s leading musicians in three outstanding ensembles performing in one of Perth’s most intimate live music venues. Our first show for 2014 was amazing with the tasty Duo Callente, sensational Tresna Stampalia and Friends in the ensemble ‘Tres Classique’ and finishing with the rocking iSQ. Once again we were privileged by the presence and talents of Phil Doncon painting along side these performers. This evening is one of the most understated events at The Ellington on the last Monday of each month; you must put this in your Calender and Book now!Screenshot 2014-01-23 23.00.20Sophie Curtis Solo

Curtis / Badnall Duo

Sophie Curtis  (cello) and Caroline Badnall  (piano)

Sophie Curtis and Caroline Badnall began performing together in 2003, and since then have enjoyed performing together in many ensembles, most notably in the piano trio ‘Trinity’ with violinist Rebecca Glorie. As a trio, they have performed widely across Australia and overseas. In 2005 they were finalists in the Australian Chamber Music Competition and in the following year they accepted fellowships to study at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival run by the Yale Summer School of Music in Connecticut. They are both distinguished soloists in their own right, and are highly sought after in Perth as chamber musicians and educators. This Chamber Jam performance sees an exciting opportunity for Sophie and Caroline to continue to expand their duo repertoire as their colleague Rebecca takes a few months off to have twins
